My RV Van quit on the freeways just at the beginning of Labor Day weekend. Got towed to my son's home (I was down for a wedding) and camped in his driveway during the weekend. Monday (Labor Day), started calling around for AAA rated mechanics. John's was #1 on the list. I got hold of Dave, a service rep for John's taking calls on Labor Day. I told him my problem and that I needed to get home rather quickly since my wife was running low on her medications. John promised me that If I got the Van into his shop before Tuesday morning, that he would get right on it. So I had the Van towed over to John's and left a "after hours" note for them to please try for early repair... They had diagnosed and fixed the Van by 1pm on Tuesday, replaced the distributor parts and put in a new coil.... So, thanks Dave for being a man of your word. We were back up and running. Home the next day.... They are very professional and nice! My service advisor was Byron, he was very nice! They got my car done same day, which I was very grateful for! We got there to pick up my car right at 6pm when they were closing and they didn't try to rush us out the door. Justin was very sweet, he walked me to the car and showed me my final paperwork and what they had done. Thank you so much for everything guys!!! Would definitely recommend this shop and will return for future needs!!!

John's automotive is a great neighborhood mechanic. A good group of guys working here, that you can trust. I've gone here several times and have decided to make this my go to for automotive care. They don't try to up-sell you or pull the wool over your eyes. No matter who you work with, they are friendly, professional and keep you informed on what's really needed and what can wait. They even washed my car! It was filthy. One of the guys was passing by my place last time I was there and dropped me off. Bottom line: My car runs well and they give good service. It was my first time coming to this place, and loved it from the moment I called them to schedule an appointment! The staff on the phone was very professional and genuine. I came in for my appointment and the staff were very welcoming. They have free little snacks, coffee and bottled water for customers, I've yet to see that at any shops. Out of all of the great things experienced during my first visit, what I truly love the most was that I never feel pressured or felt like I was being tricked with information or prices. Military discount was a bonus! This will definitely be my auto shop to go to while stationed here in San Diego! Great service, lovely people -- amazing service overall!

By far the best automotive service I have had. These guys are honest, get the job done and fix only what needs to be fixed. Dave was extremely helpful in helping me get my truck fixed and went the extra mile to help me get a rattling noise stopped. I would highly recommend John's Automotive!!
