So this is why they get 5 stars from me: -First and foremost, they do their job well - I have taken my cars in the past to Steve Auto Repair in PB, and Steve could isolate the problem with my brakes although they sounded horrible. Turns out it was in my rotors. Problem solved! -They are affordable and offer great deals - including the $150 for $100 yelp deal, a discount for being a Kaiser member, and a AAA discount. Plus the price for an oil change and scheduled maintenance was very reasonable. -They are great guys. Well, I only talked to Bryan and John but they are all-stars.

I came in to get a smog check on my SUV. I was helped by Brian and Chris and they were extremely pleasant and very professional. As I waited for my SUV to be completed I notice these guys interactions with other customers. Needless to say that I was really impressed. No one seemed to be pressured into buying anything and were given reasonable honest quotes on parts and labor. I will definitely go back and recommend this shop to my family and friends.

I don't know what happened to my review 'cause I KNOW I wrote one. LOVE these guys. I've been coming here for four years, and they are so accommodating and helpful. The first time, I needed work done but my husband had Alzheimer's and I couldn't always guarantee I could get him to leave the house for an appointment. John's told me to bring my car in whenever I could and they'd work me in right then. And ... they did. Twice. And then came the day my battery had died and my husband was bedbound and I couldn't leave him alone. They arranged a tow to figure out what was wrong, and once it was repaired, they brought the car back to my house. They're always very courteous. They have a van to drive you to your home or office if you don't want to hang around their office. I've had unfortunate rip-off experiences enough times in the past to be very confident John's is honest, charges fair prices, and won't try to talk unknowledgeable females into anything that isn't needed. I'm glad I listened to all the good Yelp! reviews. Another fan for life.

female ripped-off again. Everything but the kitchen sink was added into my $85 estimate, including sincerity. The price was just so excessive. BUT, if you like very nice people, lots of employees & cars around to confirm their success, and you have your own supply of cash, go for it. I'm sure the price you pay will warranty the repairs for 3 years, at NO additional cost, because you've prepaid for ANY repair necessary in the next 5 years. 2nd opinion at the dealership will cost me 1/4 the price Brian gave me. CHECK THINGS OUT. IF YOU CAN AFFORD TO PAY ANY QUOTE YOU'RE GIVEN, YOU SHOULD NOT BOTHER PAYING ATTENTION TO MY COMMENTS. Good luck out there!

Elite '2020 Elite '2020 Being that the automobile repair business has a trust issue, it is very reassuring to have John's Automotive as a trustworthy source of advice and service. One of my fondest memories at John's was years ago when I had a Volkswagen Passat (piece of cr*p) which continually had issues. Seeing John at the front desk I mentioned my frustration with VW and asked for recommendations on a reliable vehicle. John laughed and said something like, "Oh, we love VWs because their breakdowns provide so much business. But if I was shopping for a reliable vehicle I'd probably get a Toyota". Within a week I traded in my Passat for a Prius and I've been happy ever since. Both my wife and I are happy customers at John's Automotive. Again, it's nice to have a shop you can trust!

This is the 2nd time I've used John's. I really think they are top notch at what they do. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This time my frustration was with the lack of communication I recieved about what was going on regarding the progress of my car. No one called me to update me on the progress of the work being done which is almost necessary. I however think they do great work and I will be taking my car back there. P.S. I think this is a very women friendly auto shop. Never once have I fet like they've tried to pressure me into having more work done that was necessary. They have a fair price and they make it easy to feel comfortable.

The associates at John's were super nice. I called the store a few hours before I went in for a smog and talked to a man named Chris answered and helped me out with all my questions. He said they usually don't do walk ins, but were nice enough to let me come in with out an appointment. I went in the same day and Chris was there to help me out with my transaction and getting my smog done. I only waited about 20 minutes, and that was because there was another car getting their smog done. The staff was nice and even offered me fruit, water, and candy. I look forward to coming here again instead of the smog place that's near my house.

I stopped in near their closing time on a Monday afternoon. They happily made time to repair a flat tire for me. The shop seemed really friendly and clean. Surprisingly, when the tire repair was finished they wouldn't accept any cash. That was a nice surprise, very cool auto repair shop!

Johns Automotive Care has done services on a couple of my vehicles. From oil changes, alignments, diagnosing oil leaks,trying to figure out "mystery" noises etc. John, Brian, Chris and Brenda's service is amazing, Very trustworthy and competitive. For example I kept talking to Brian about my 66 Lincoln and how much work it needed. I thought it had major issues because of all the oil that was leaking. Come to find out it was nothing but a power steering leak that they remedied in a couple days. Finding parts for this car is very difficult so the turn around was impressive. I received a call from Brian saying the car was ready. I asked him how much the bill was and i was like "WHAT, thats it?!" I was expecting hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Johns crew are thorough and professional. An automotive service jewel.

Bryan at John's Automotive is great- most importantly he is honest! I have brought my autos there for a number of years now. They have always done a great job and have even recommended that I HOLD OFF on work until later. With past auto service shops (especially dealerships-ugh!) I dreaded taking in my cars for an oil change because I knew they would try to scare me & try to sell me stuff I didn't need. This never happens at John's Automotive & the work has always been safe & great!
