I've never been to a better auto care place! These people rock.

I've used John's for many years now. Just recently I was able to take advantage of their 36-month guarantee. Had them replace a starter in January but after 2 months the new starter went bad. John's replaced it at no cost. I usually make an appointment but this time I took it to them first thing in the morning and they were able to fit me into their schedule. Thanks, John, and thanks, Brian! Been going to John's since he bought the business years ago. Found out that a number of my neighbors also go to him. John's very thorough and wants to do the job right. Took my car in for a minor repair and he spent time road testing it with his mechanic and told me that it really didn't need to be fixed. I was very impressed with the service I received at John's Automotive. Everything was done over the phone and Bryan (the one that I talked to the most) was more than helpful. He made sure I knew everything that was going on through the whole process and he went through the costs of each thing I would be paying for. I had the car at the shop when it opened and it was done before the work day was over; quickest service I've ever seen. Another thing they were great about was allowing my friend to pay over the phone because he was out of state at the time and all I had to do was walk in, get the keys and I was good to go. I'm not from San Diego and I was super cautious about who I had work on the car but I trust John's Automotive completely and I would definitely recommended. As a girl that knows nothing about cars, it was a relief to know I wasn't getting tricked into getting a bunch of unnecessary fixes.

I have been going to John's Automotive for quite a few years and have always recieved great service and great customer service. Brian and Dana have always been very helpful. I trust these guys completely and I know that my car is getting the exact service it needs and not things that it doesn't need. Brian and I did such a good job of keeping my car up to date, when I got to my 100,000 mile check up, there was not much to do. That is quite a relief for a single woman who knows nothing about cars. John's Automotive rocks!!

Took my Mercedes Benz in for muffler work after being highly recommended. I can tell you that they have great customer service and their prices are very reasonable. Oh and the work! Let me say there is a reason why they were highly recommended.

John's Automotive has the friendliest staff and what I know to be the most honest mechanics. John's staff is knowledgeable, fair, and has great customer service experience. I have been taking my vehicles to John's Automotive Care for six years now. Not only do I have my cars services here but so does my mom, brother and sister and some friends as well. Don't shop around - GO TO JOHN'S!

I love this place - they have definitely won my ongoing business. Getting ready to leave for a long holiday weekend my car decided to have a major fluid leak. It turns out John was at the shop even though it was closed and was nice enough to open the lot and wait for me to have my car towed to the shop. He even asked if it was an emergency to get the car fixed before Monday or if it could wait. Brian was my service advisor and I was very impressed with his explaination of my options. Repair costs were much lower than I expected... and I was always treated like a friend or family member - not just a customer.

John's Automotive did a great job on my car! Jason Scmitz was my mechanic who helped me replace my clutch. He did a great job, and finished everything in a timely manner so I didn't have to go days on end without a car! Thanks guys!

Ok, I'm going to say it. I love my mechanic. Or to be more correct, the entire staff of my mechanic's shop. Find this slightly inappropriate? Well, I don't...not after what this shop has done for me! Finding Brian and his team when I first moved to San Diego a year ago was probably the best thing I did. More times than I can count he has come to my rescue for little things like having one of his techs (shout out to Jon Jr here) fix my center counsel that my friend ripped off unknowingly (he even found the screws that flew all over the car and just put it back together for me!!!) to fixing my more major problems like when my axle boot decided to explode and spray grease all over my catalytic converter. And the best part is that he always helps with an understanding that this chick works at a non-profit and she aint got no money! I probably drive Brian nuts with my panic and my constant phone calls of 'why is it doing this?" or "Um, something else is wrong with my car now..(sigh)." But you'd never know it because every time he patiently sits on the phone with me to figure out what I'm freaking out about and always gives me an honest answer as to whether I need to bring it in or whether it's something I can deal with until later. What it comes down to is that there is no better place in SD to take your car. Period.

They replaced a belt and when it went bad during warranty while I was in another state they covered all repair cost.. Nothing out of my pocket.. You can't ask for any better service than that!!!
