Wonderful service, willing to squeeze you in for an emergency, and they will actually answer the phone when you call! Friendly staff, they were super helpful and prompt. They'll give you all the information and options, and let you make your own decisions about what you want to do. They have comfortable chairs in the waiting room, fruit, snacks, coffee, and a chest of toys that kids with you can pick from to entertain them while you wait. Very clean. And they give customers rides home so you don't have to Uber. Would totally recommend and will be my go to spot from now on . My mom's Aveo had just been repaired with an expensive repair at John's. When she got the car home, the check engine light came on. I was thankful that when we brought the car back, they took it immediately and figured out the issue without any trouble(it was not an issue with the repair). We got the car back with no charge and I was thankful to not have to hassle about bringing the car back in after such an expensive repair. They stand by their work.

Amazing service, friendly staff and working with Justin couldn’t be any easier. I really like it that they examine different parts of the car to make sure it’s all ok and they send the report to my email. Really satisfied with the shop!

My visit at John's auto was a great , Had my A.C. completely checked and recharged , Work i had done there went well , They took great care with my car , Very satisfied , Cost of repairs was more than reasonable , I was very welcomed there , All who work there treated me great , I recommend them highly , Good auto shops are hard to find , But with John's Auto i don't think you'll be disappointed ,

I know nothing about car repair. I know where the gas goes and I can check the oil and add a quart, if needed. That is the extent of my knowledge of car maintenance and repair. Because I believe most auto repair place take advantage of women like me, I end up going to a Toyota dealership... yes, they will be more expensive, but I won't feel like they took me to the cleaners replacing my truck's "phalanges" (Friends joke). A coworker recommended John's Automotive Center about 10 years ago, back before they renamed the company, after my catalytic converter was stolen and the replacement converter still wasn't passing the smog check. I assumed that I would be spending $1,000s to check the truck fixed... but JAC was able to add a piece of metal (or something; the explanation went straight over my head) to the replaced converter and they ended up charging me less than $100. Seriously. And the truck passed the smog check, no problem. Another miracle JAC performed for me was when I brought them my truck for emitting a weird odor. The smell wasn't electrical- or petroleum-based. Even my car-smart dad couldn't figure it out. JAC figured it out in less than an hour... the engine area had sucked up a plastic bag on the freeway and the bag had melted on something. They charged me something like 30 minutes of labor because one of their technicians took a steel brush and scraped as much of the melted/burnt plastic off as possible. The smell was gone after a couple more times driving the car (like JAC predicted). If I still lived in San Diego, I would continue to go to JAC for my auto repair needs. They did The job in time I was told and were super pleasant and professional and I was in a bad mood due to getting stopped by a policeman the night before due to no '19 tag. I would definitely reccommend them to all my friends. Thank you to Justin whom I dealt with.

Everyone was extremely helpful from start to finish! Dawn was immensely helpful and kept me up to date on everything. My car was even done earlier than their original estimate. I’m so glad I was referred to them because they managed to make a pretty terrible situation as quick and painless as possible. Thank you all for everything!
