I can't speak about other locations, only La Mesa where Ive been going, and I can't say enough good things about them! They have the funniest guys and always give it to you straight. They always let me know what needs immediate attention as well as what's in "yellow" and needs to be looked at soon. I love the text/email updates as they go along in the process of working on my vehicle. No other place has that kind of system for their customers to see for themselves, with shop pics uploaded of my car, through the detailed system. My car burns more oil than it used to because of age and they always let me swing on it to get it topped off if needed. Their prices are not that much more than others, definitely cheaper than the dealership, and Ive personally called around before to find out and I always come back to John's in La Mesa because I know they will do it right the first time and I won't have to worry. I won't take my cars to anyone else. They also steer me in the right direction if they notice something they don't deal with but needs done for my vehicles, such as electrical & body damage. They also provide shuttle service which most car mechanics I've seen don't do. Thank you Brian and Jay for being so awesome, hilarious, honest, and helpful!

Very overpriced. Don’t get your car towed here. You’ll have no choice but to get it fixed there with their pricing

My husband and I have been coming to Johns for about 10 years and we keep coming back because we trust our cars with everyone there! Everyone is honest and truly cares about being helpful when something needs to be fixed with our cars. And as a woman, they have never spoken down to me and have always explained things to me so that I understand without being rude or unkind. We wouldnt go anywhere else!

I was looking for a new auto repair shop and you were recommended and I just want the truth about what is required to repair my vehicle good or bad, and when you found the bad condition of my vehicle and stopped to give me the bad news, I really appreciate that. Instead of going ahead and doing things out of order as I planned, you did the right thing on my behalf. Thank you for that decision.

What a lovely place. It was my first time going and everyone is so friendly and kind. This is the first car place I’ve been to where I didn’t feel like I was being lied to. My battery died and they helped me get back on the road in 30 minutes. Truly a place with good-hearted folks who are there to help.

JAC has the friendliest, most knowledgeable staff of any auto repair shop I have ever visited. I had an incredibly unpleasant experience taking my car in for maintenance to the local Hyundai dealership (consistently bad service and shady behavior)and will now be doing maintenance through John’s. Arron was great to work with as my tech and I felt comfortable with his advisements during the process.
